Easy calculations and adjustments for every goal.
The question seems trivial on the surface: How much should I eat? If you dig deeper into it, determining your energy demand can get quite complicated. For comfort food aFISHionados.
Austria is beautiful: I love my new home country and I never regret moving here long time ago. The quality of life is gorgeous and the quality of food too: a high variety of regional veggies, game meat, poultry, fantastic dairy products… But there is one thing that Austria lacks: fish. Well, you can get it, but you have to pay quite a lot for decent quality. No wonder that every time Stefan and I are travelling somewhere, we crave for fish like mad: seafood, sushi, salmon, smoked fish, it doesn’t matter, we eat it all. Easter is around the corner and I am excited! Not because of any religious meaning, but because there will be lamb. There has to be lamb, and I will take any excuse for cooking a proper lamb roast! Let’s eat and grow! It’s so easy, isn’t it?
Yay, bulking (=being in a calorie surplus to build muscle mass)! What sounds like a dream for many, is in my eyes even more difficult than cutting (=being in a calories deficit to lose fat). Why?
- Finding the balance between gaining muscle and gaining fat: some of us do not like the more “fluffy” look and don’t allow themself to eat enough; others just get into a dreamer bulk (=insane calorie surplus) and gain far too much body fat. The sweet spot inbetween is desirable as too much or too less fat are not favorable for building muscles.
- Hard gainer: you feel like you eat a lot of food but actually you are such a restless person, that it’s simply not enough; or your appetite is low (stress or whatever) and you just can’t eat that much.
Nevertheless, difficult is not impossible and therefore we collected some tips to help you on your gainz journey 😉 .
