One of the most common execuses I hear as coach is that people are too busy, especially when it comes to cooking. Nobody seems to have time for it. I see and understand the point: not everyone is a foodie like us who likes spending hours in the kitchen. But you do not need too: it can be so simple! Easter is around the corner and I am excited! Not because of any religious meaning, but because there will be lamb. There has to be lamb, and I will take any excuse for cooking a proper lamb roast! A Viennese classic made cut-friendly.
Paprika Hendl (“Hendl” is Austrian slang for chicken) is a typical Viennese dish rich in, not surprisingly, paprika, the dried and ground red bell peppers that were so popular due to the Austro-Hungarian empire. And paprika is still very popular, in certain parts of Austria you don’t have salt and pepper on the table, there is salt and paprika. Normally there are loads of fatty sour cream in this dish, making it not exactly a weightloss friendly dish, but I changed things up a little and it works beautifully. Give it a try! “Detox”… every time I hear this word my scientific soul dies a little bit. Because I can not believe that in the year of 2019 we still follow such hocus-pocus. Well, there are people out there telling you that vaccins cause autism or the earth is flat or whatever esoteric crap is the newest sh*t. Ok, sorry for the rant but it drives me crazy when other people use other people’s lack of knowledge as in the case of all this “cleanse” and “detoxes” popping up every year either during Lent season or as summer is approaching. They promise you to clear the body from harmful “toxins”, that prevent you from losing fat or making you feel sleepy or whatsoever. Usually, a restrictive diet in liquid form (juices anyone?) and/or an expensive supplement is prescribed, promising loss of weight and other miracles. Is there any truth behind this stuff?

My relationship to eggs is difficult. There are egg dishes that are absolutely boring, almost tiresome to eat, and there are insanely interesting egg dishes. For me, tamagoyaki belongs to the later.
